About The Salon Farm

The Salon Farm was born from a dream that started long before adulthood—back when I was just a little girl who fell in love with animals and imagined a future caring for them every day. I once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but life had its own path for me. Still, God made sure that dream never left my heart—it simply grew into something even bigger.

Today, as a master cosmetologist with over 21 years in the beauty industry, I've been blessed to walk in my gift. But my true passion lives here—on the farm—surrounded by over 50 animals that are loved, cared for, and treated like family. Their well-being is our daily mission, and giving them the best life possible is at the core of everything we do.

The Salon Farm is more than just a petting farm—it's an experience. In a world where so much is learned through screens and books, we believe children deserve to see, touch, and connect with real animals in real life. We bring those moments to life—creating hands-on, meaningful experiences that spark joy, curiosity, and lasting memories.

It is truly an honor to serve our community. We are proud to work with the Mobile County Public School System, churches, community organizations, and families—bringing the farm wherever it's needed most.

Salon Farm FAQ

Everything you need to know about our farm experience

  • Our Salon Farm features a variety of friendly, well-cared-for animals such as baby goats, a miniature Highland cow, mini horse, bunnies, ducks, chickens, Donkeys, emus, and more. Animal availability may vary slightly, but we always bring a fun and interactive mix.
  • Yes! Safety is our top priority. All interactions are supervised, and our animals are chosen for their gentle temperament. We also provide guidance to ensure children interact safely and respectfully.
  • Yes, feeding is included in our interactive experience packages. Each child will receive feed and instructions on how to safely feed the animals.
  • We offer both! You can visit us at the Salon Farm or book our mobile petting farm where we bring the experience to your location. Travel fees may apply depending on distance.
  • Our standard booking is hourly, with a minimum of 2 hours. Most parties book between 2-3 hours depending on the size and type of event.
  • We recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Since this is a farm-style experience, clothes may get a little dusty—so dress accordingly.
  • In the case of bad weather, we will work with you to reschedule your event. The safety of our animals and guests always comes first.
  • Yes! We handle all setup and breakdown of the petting area so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
  • Absolutely! Photos are welcome, and we also offer a photo add-on package for professional-style pictures with select animals.
  • To secure your date, a $75 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your event. Dates are first come, first served.
  • We are based in Citronelle, AL and service surrounding areas. Travel is available for mobile bookings, and a travel fee may apply depending on distance.
  • Yes, we do accept bookings on select holidays based on availability. Holiday bookings may require an additional fee and must be reserved in advance.
